From the time I first opened my shop until a few years after our daughter was born, we actually did live in and upstairs of the the shop.  Over the years since we moved out, I have had a number of young women living at the shop and helping me run it. At our retreats, everyone gets to live amongst the yarns, patterns, needles and other stuff we bring, and make purchases at a retreat discount.
